For our ring we first need to estimate its overall length, this isn’t easy to do given that we know the face is distorted from our viewing angle so we have to make some assumptions and some calls on how to go about it, firstly we need to look at the ring and see how far out the band sticks on each side of the face. After looking at it I came to around 25mm on each side this is important because it defines our outer radius.

First you need to change your view from right to top.

Once you’ve done that hit L and select the top of your ring then draw a line out 36MM from the center of the back face. After hit C to draw a circle from that center point to the base make it 50MM radius.

Make a second circle from the center point to the inner edge 66MM diameter.

After that go ahead and extrude it to the full length of the ring, when doing this turn off the gemstone body so the two do not fuse.

Next turn the ring to front view and click L for line to draw a line down the center of the circle.

Hit P on the keyboard for Project view select bodies from the two options and click the circle this will draw a line around the outer body allowing you to have snap points to draw for the next cut that will make the ring thinner at one side then the other.

After close out of project by pressing Okay remain in sketch mode.

On the left side of the ring draw a line from the top to bottom then from the middle to bottom and top making a quarter distance marker on each side. Draw lines from the quarter points to the top outer edge.

Turn your bodies off and select the faces

Select the two triangles and then enable bodies again. Using extrude go ahead and pull the object out with the cut command enabled and then on direction select symmetry.

Cut each side and select this will give you your final ring model.

Hitting A will allow you to texture the file and you can result in something like this.
